ACICLOVIR EG cream is effective in children when applied topically 2 to 5 times per day for 5 days.
The cream should not be given to adults or adolescent children due to the risk of hypersensitivity. The cream should only be used in patients with asthma or hypersensitivity to any inactive ingredient of this medicine.
The dosage of ACICLOVIR EG cream is based on severity of the infection and does not differ significantly with diet and exercise regimen and duration of treatment (2-5 days or more).
Overdose of ACICLOVIR EG cream is likelyly mild and self-limiting when taken for the duration recommended. Dispersible tablets should be taken with water (not over the cap) and immediate symptomatic control should be maintained. Dispersible tablets must be used cautiously with symptomatic relief in patients with only mild or mild infections.
